Meet Our Legal Team

Shawn Loring
Partner
Shawn received his law degree from Southwestern Law School, where he was on the Dean’s List, and was awarded commendations for his study of Estate and Gift Taxation and Estate Planning. Shawn is currently licensed to practice law in California and in Texas and is a partner at Loring & Associates, PLLC.

Shawn holds a Bachelor of Science in international economics, with an emphasis on Asia, from UCLA. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and Spanish, in addition to English.
​
In 2011, Shawn joined the board of Escapees CARE, a non-profit adult day care and resident facility providing assisted-living services primarily to the RVing community. He served on the CARE board for approximately four years, lending his financial and legal expertise to that organization.
​
Shawn began his career in the financial services industry in 1998. He has held positions as a bond analyst for a prominent insurance company, as an account manager dealing with some of the largest banks in the world. In 2003, Shawn and his father established a successful financial planning branch office, currently clearing through Securities America, Inc. Shawn remains a partner with Multigenerational Wealth Strategies, LLC.

Shawn is also the co-owner and former CEO/Attorney of Escapees, Inc. He currently serves as the President of Polk County Recycling and Beautification.
K. Susie Adams
Partner
Susie received her Bachelor of Arts in Math, in 1976, from Northwestern University. After graduation, Susie began her career as an Industrial Engineer, working for Texas Instruments, and later became a Computer Data Analyst for General Electric. In pursuit of a graduate education, Susie attended University of Houston Law Center where she was Articles Editor for the Law Review. Upon her graduation in 1983, she accepted a staff attorney position with Gulf Oil. Gulf Oil merged with Chevron. Susie remained with Chevron, rising to the level of Senior Counsel, until she left to start a private practice in 1996. Susie has been a partner at Mladenka-Fowler, Adams & Assoc. and at Loring & Associates.

In addition, Susie spent five years as the Executive Director of Childrenz Haven, a non-profit dedicated to alleviating child abuse and its affects in Polk County, Texas. And, she spent six years as the Office Manager and Legal Consultant for BioTX Automation, a biotech company that revolutionized DNA processing and sequencing.
Susie is an avid tennis player. In addition, she attended and taught at legal writing seminars. She has written a novel, two screenplays, a memoir and numerous short stories. Susie has attended Six extended NITA courses for trial development and has given numerous sexual harassment seminars. And, she loves public speaking.
